Sola Gratia began as a small women's ensemble in 1990. Its focus was to provide women with opportunities for music excellence. The group was part of the rotation of ensembles that provided music for worship services at Kingwood United Methodist Church. As we grew in numbers, our outreach expanded to include performances at the White House (2006 and 2008), Texas State Capitol (2010), Texas Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church (2013), and local ministry events.
Sola Gratia now has 501(c)(3) status as a nonprofit organization. We currently perform at local churches and for various community and church-based organizations. Sola Gratia offers annual concerts to benefit the Oaks of Righteousness, a transitional living facility for women coming out of incarceration. We are an ecumenical group that welcomes singers from all denominations as we promote unity among women and serve the community through the universal language of music.
